volunteering……the new generation

What a glorious start to Spring…

Today we had two students from Parklands High School start their volunteering adventure with us.  They thought they were going to be working in a community garden the whole time…..little did they know that on their first day we would have  them out on site at at Leighlands Christian School in Burnie scoping the best spot for our first School Snack Garden!  We are looking forward to spending every Wednesday afternoon with them until the end of the school year ( they get school holidays off! ).  We have many adventures planned for Ebony & Laura…and can I say what  smart, enthusiastic  and genuinely lovely girls they are.

A big shout out to Volunteering Tasmania and Parklands High who are working together to pilot this program with community organisations around the State (there are other schools involved in the south and north).
