Humph!

Sweet Tassie rain

Rain anyone?

We had expected to start up our Primary School veggie deliveries this week – full steam ahead and all.  I was soooo excited.  Alas, with rainfall overnight of 32mm in Burnie, 41mm in Ulverstone and 54mm in Sprent it’s not so surprising that the crews have not been out in any kind of force cutting veggies.

This means we are veggie-less for tomorrow. Sad face. Mother Nature clearly has something else in store for us. Wonder what?

Maybe next week?

Silver lining, here’s a few warming recipes you might like to try :

Red Wine Beef & Crisp Potato

Donna Hay’s Beef, Oregano & Tomato Meatballs with Quinoa – gosh her styling is fabulously fabulous!

Jill Dupleix’s Lamb Stew with Red Wine, Anchovies and Parmesan

Roasted tomato and thyme soup with double baked cheese and chive potatoes, courtesy of Sophie Dahl

Granny Traver’s Self Saucing Choccy Pudding that is surprisingly similar to my Nanna’s recipe.  Super yummy.
