Hope you’ve had a fab 2013…

2013 PttP in Pictures

We have had a delightful 2013 with over 20,000 kilos of veggies and other assorted produce gathered and given with an estimated market value of $83,000.

In the first part of 2014 we will be delivering to TWENTY SCHOOLS in the Central Coast, Burnie and  Wynyard areas each week as well as Out of School Hours and Vacation Care programs in Burnie, PLUS The Salvos and Burnie Community House when possible.  That’s going to be a lot of veggies going to a lot of people!

Our Veggie Gardens in Schools project has been simply awesome as well and I am pleased to say we will be continuing this work until the middle of 2014 with some awesome farmer visits thrown into the mix.  A big thanks to Christian who visits Havenview, Burnie, Cooee, Stella Marist, Leighlands and Riana imparting veggie growing knowledge to the masses.

School Veggie Garden Project

A huge thanks to all involved in the many aspects of keeping Produce to the People on the road and doing good things in the North West Tassie community. Our uber volunteers Murray and Raylene give up a day a week to help deliver veggies – they rock, big time!

If you have visited our new web site you will notice that we are also providing a Veggie Garden Sitting service and Veggie Garden Crates – perfect for your home or business. This is our way of making PttP more financially self sufficient. Contact us for more information.

Have a safe break and see you back here in the New Year.

We are totes looking forward to 2014.  Bring it on!

In the meantime, grow, gather, give and love the one you’re with

Best to you,

Penelope | Founder of Produce to the People
