I love delivering fresh produce to our partners at Mission in Burnie. We work in collaboration gathering and giving to participants in a range of their programs.
This morning’s fresh food abundance included bread, fresh herbs, yams, eggs and kohlrabi.
I have to admit I did head to google for more info on kohlrabi and I am happy to share the info with you: Kohlrabi (German turnip or turnip cabbage) (Brassica oleracea Gongylodes group) is an annual vegetable, and is a low, stout cultivar of cabbage. Kohlrabi can be eaten raw as well as cooked.
Here are some links to recipes for kohlrabi and yams, just in case you need some help!
