Discovery Early Learning Centre came to visit us this week as part of their vacation care program with 27 delightful 5-12 year olds. We talked compost, chooks, mulch and emergency food relief. We fed alpacas carrots, checked out the broody hens and the busy worms, planted rocket seeds and sage cuttings and picked heaps of veg to take away. If you have a group you’d like to bring through head on over to our FARM TOUR page to get in touch.
Another of our WFD peeps got a job, so its “thanks a bundle and bye for now Dennis!” and we welcome Kyle to our ever growing family of volunteers.
The chook house is coming along nicely. What a project! Kingsley and his team are up to level 6, and Tomas is busy making stumps to support the nesting boxes. Everyone who comes to visit is completely intrigued by the build.
Lots of zucchinis, cucumbers and potatoes coming out of our ground and the corn is growing what seems like a foot overnight! Toms and various fruit trees are developing nicely – I think we are going to have quite the bounty!
Can’t wait to see what next week brings. Grow, gather, give and love the one you’re with xx
